NCAA football fans should be starting to think about the Heisman winner, and here are the choices you should check out in your sportsbook.
Andrew Luck, Stanford (-200): Luck has been as good as advertised and the Oregon loss wasn’t his fault, but the field has caught up to him in 2011. He should still be the No.1 pick in the draft, though.
Trent Richardson, Alabama (+175): Richardson is fourth in the nation in rushing and would follow Mark Ingram, who won the Heisman for the Crimson Tide two years ago.
Robert Griffin III, Baylor (+250): Griffin III has been amazing for the Bears, and a win over Oklahoma has really helped his chances.
Case Keenum, Houston (+1000): Much like his team’s pay head odds of playing in the BCS title game, playing in the Conference-USA hurts his chances.
Brandon Weeden, Oklahoma State (+1200): The loss to Iowa State was crushing, but the Cowboys still have a shot if they can win the Big 12, that would be huge for Weeden’s chances.
Pick: Any of the top five are legitimate picks to win the Heisman, but Luck is the obvious favorite because if all the hype surrounding him. If Alabama can snag the SEC title, that bodes well for Richardson’s chances, while RGIII and Keenum may be out of luck due to playing for non-name schools. Weeden is a very interesting pick and would be a worthy darkhorse, but we’re sticking with Luck, the sport betting online favorite.
